From his pics he fitted the flight set on his super 3.

Miles - it was a head ache finding the parts to fit the rear brake as not not many places stock the u brake plate.
Got it all from the states in the end.
Everything else is easy.

The padset you have fitted is the correct padset for an 83 mate, Dan's padset is for an 84/85.

Here's my 83 super (with a couple of custom tweaks) :

an 84 cali (rider)......

and an 85 M1 (factory spec).........

There ya go mate, sorted, you have the correct padset, I think both look fine, it's just a personal preference thing. :daumenhoch:

After seeing the other pad sets fitted I couldnt help myself. IMO I prefer them.

A few asking for close ups of the brake Set up.

Hope that helps

Plate added got a haro white #2 en route too.
Still on the look out for some black beartrap pedals. The ones on there are a tad smooth.
Also added some xposure clear brake blocks for the rear stops dead now.
I ride this most days love it.

Depends how you build them tbh.  This has a 175 crank and larger bars plus the layback. Makes it nicer to ride for long periods.
I have a Cali also but has small bars and a 165 crank and because of these it's not that comfy.
Super 3 is abit more beefier frame too.

Cool, i did not think about the different size crank/bars etc.
I have an 84 grand prix and 84 cali both standard spec, but i can definately feel the difference between them mainly the weight,
so was thinking how much more different a supergoose would be.
Think i will have to read the uk vs usa supergoose thread again.

Yeah you can make them abit more rider friendly :-).
This is a supergoose 3 USA version so is abit heavier.

How are you stopping the rear cable from pulling through?   ???

i would've thought now you've put rims on you could use a normal caliper brake?

The outer cable is clamped under the pad.
Yes it's abit different but its a daily ride and it stops pretty much like a disk brake.

Small update -
I got a good deal on a rear black 82 mx 1000 from a member on here not long back.
So removed the 990 set up which some should be pleased with  :LolLolLolLol:

It has some primo v monster type mongoose tyres on at the moment from a mid school bike as I mainly use it on the road.

Having fun on it at MK12
