Feel stupid asking but fook it...
What freewheel tool fits Shimano & Suntour?
Ive tried 2 & they dont bloody fit correctly.
Any help & abuse welcome...

Hiya Rich, there are tools available on eGay, but recently I just nip into my local bike shop and let them remove it F.O.C. :daumenhoch:

Yeah Ive used a couple but they dont fit correctly.
I know you can buy a Suntour one but wondered if there is a more universal one...

Suntour ones will fit most 4 pin freewheels 16T and up,Shimano,Suntour,ACS,Dicta etc.

Best thing to do is fix it in place with the axle nut, ensures a snug fit and no slippage  :daumenhoch:

I can send you a tool ta borrow if you want - not met a freewheel it hasn't removed... deffo had a few Shimanos off with it.

I always clamp the tool in a vice and fit the wheel in on top - it can be tricky and seem like its not fitting but it will...  :daumenhoch:

I'd agree with gay Ed on that - put the removal tool in a vice and turn the wheel against it.

I've never had a problem removing freewheels this way.
