As others have said Griff the rear u brake will work a treat so you don't need a front

Lugged forks are the way to go if you find you want one...  :daumenhoch:

ok.. so skids are in, endoes are out!

Yep...  ;D

agreed - never had a bike without one! but if I buy any more bike bits without getting ride of some first then I'm up a certain kind of creek
so far the only thing I've got rid of is a pair of tyres  ;D

who knows I might even get used to it for a bit, I'll try it and see how it rides on saturday  :daumenhoch:

Rutland cycles on ebay have triple butted, lugged chromo forks for £18 delivered.

or you could buy an adapter plate (think Pickle had one in `for sale')

will probably cost more than the forks though!!

I ran mine with a front brake set up recently, hated it, gone back to normal

Good idea, if you can find a helpful Radster that has a spare one.

Gotta be the best way. Cheap, light, a Ubrake will work WAY better than a side pull (even a cheap U brake). You can put it on your new forks (assuming there is a hole in there) and you can always take it off again if you dont like it.

Your forks don't have lugs and more than likely the stem cap won't have a hole to pass the cable through

I had to mod the top cap on my forks so the cable will go thro it, its not a big deal. Or you could try and get one that does have a hole for a cable (eg Odyssey) but you'll have to make sure the threads in the forks are the same.

went & picked it up tonight  :daumenhoch:

really pleased - got a few scratches and a little bit of surface dirt but all there, nothing dented or warped and light as fook
only thing I had to do was tighten up the back brake and align the pads & it's ready to do some skids  ;)

felt a bit bad tbh as no-one else bid, so bunged in an extra tenner just so they wouldn't lose out on paypal fees

2 days to go & I can ride it........   >:D will be easier to lift out of the foam pit than my trusty tank
