potts mod
« on: August 15, 2011, 01:45 PM »
Typical newbie question coming up... :)

Which old school stems can be modified with a hollow stem bolt, seen plenty of bolts for sale and was wondering if they are an easy fit to most old school stems (sr, dyno etc.).

Any advice and pics of your potts mod would be great, thanks :)

sr stems and suntour have quite a thin bolt tbh
most others are ok certainly the dyno ones would be fine

i'm sure i had to drill a skinny stem bolt back in the day to do the potts mod.....it was only big enough to get the actual cable thru
