removing spraypaint from skyway mag 2 wheels

As title................................What's the safest option to remove spraypaint from a skyway mag 2 wheel.
Juat took delivery of my new project   complete with one pink & one sprayed gold................any help would be appreciated as i've never worked on mags before.

i think your pretty safe using nitromors but not 100% so wait for someone else to confirm but i'm pretty sure it won't touch the wheels natural colour

you can use it but don't leave it on too long and just do parts at a time  ;)

Cheers guys for the fast responses, was thinking nitromors,just wondered whether it would have adverse effect on the plastic surface.

yeh last time i used it i wore marigolds  :idiot2: and i thought my fingers seem to be tingling and when i looked it had melted through the fingers of the marigolds  :shocked:  ;D

You can get water based citric paint strippers now, they may be a bit gentler on the mags. Not tried it myself but its pretty easy to get hold of. I think b&q may even do it  :daumenhoch:

I use the cheap paint stripper from wilkos, it does the job but is quite mild. Should be better than  a very strong stripper :daumenhoch:

If the wheels have just been sprayed using a rattlecan, nitro will rip it off, just do small sections at a time and don't allow it to dry, strip then was the area with warm soapy water.  :daumenhoch:

Job done guys, Nitromors & wiping of almost instantly with baby wet wipes----you'd never know the paint was there... :daumenhoch:
