Rechroming a hinged dc mx seatclamp

Hi peeps can this be done ? i suspect it can't due to moving parts which wont split or do they    i purchased one a while back with flaked chrome for resto flattend it which was easy enough then painted which was a pig of a job as you could imagine  but turned out ok but not 100% happy so im thinking strip again and rechrome or anno any ideas ,thanks

Polishing it seems your best bet IMO.  If all of the chrome is gone, it would take 10 minutes to sort with a polishing wheel.
