I have added about 70 odd tags today and dealt with about 100 pm's, so if I have missed anyone, then give me a shout.

According to JT I should get another 430 pm's tonight then, looks like I'm gunna be busy.......

just seems odd that of the thousands and thousands of members on here, your telling me only 100 paid for a site supporters tag last year

i was just curious after reading in your other thread that Mk will be a chargeable event this year.

i thought that was what the site supporter money was for.

to most people its just a tenner and well worth it, me too, i was just looking at the bigger picture, as i normally do.

nothing wrong with changing how things work, i just happend to notice, thats all.

Yes it is hard to understand that with 11k worth of members only a handful support the site  , a bit like the events, it's not that well supported if you ask me.

And yes, I have suggested in other threads, that we are 'looking into' a 'pre pack' for MK, where you will receive a decal, mug etc, to help funs the event (not pay to get in as it's public land) - however again this is down to people supporting it.

If more people support the site tag and we have high levels of 'big' sponsors, then the event and other events will get covered.

Like I said, MK's cost's are significantly higher than the income from site tags, ie £4k - £5k v around £1k.


So, yes, we may ask for more support this year, rather than dipping into 'our own' pockets, like last year.

JT I think over the whole year, April to April, we do get around 250-300 members that get site supporter tags, but I`d say there`s around 100 -175 that join straight away where as the others pay when they want to sell something.

We also have a fair few that have joined in Febuary and March and we put their tags back on for free as it`s a bit much to ask £10 for just a month or so, so we don`t raise any revenue from those, although having said that some members do donate more than £10 for there tag which is much appreciated 

MK will always be free as far as I`m concerned, I`d rather not do it than charge, but it does need other income than just the site tags as it does tend to cost a fair bit for the weekend, but racing, Show and Shine and sponsors have made up the shortfall over the last few years so I`d expect that to be the case this year too

Paid up this moning at 6.30am in bed naked on me iphone  . I'll be making another payment in the next week or so once ive got some more bunce in the pot.
