So with the weather getting better and me being a fair weather track rider, at the end of last summer I sold my new school bike i rode on the track determined I would use a OS legal bike next year, lots of searching commenced, nothing really tickled my fancy until Darren posted this frame and forks up for sale, I knew this was the bike i wanted, so off i went to check my pay pal, by the time i'd got back dib dobs were in and i'd missed it, damn. Then three weeks later on RB.com there it was up for sale again by Tom, no checking the payal account this time, the dib dobs were in. I know its not perfect, but I am determined not to get precious about it as i spend more time falling than staying on tbh!!

So this is how it arrived with me : -

Then using the Bendycat School of rule of polishing we have this, also changed the forks for some akisu ones

A 40 minute build up and voila, all ready for me to fall off!!

been in and out all day on her and she rides nice!!

last stop of the day was a local skate park for some pics, unfortunately i got accosted by kids on roosters that wouldnt leave me alone long enough to get a decent pic

Very nice build there fella  :daumenhoch:

Perfect for the job

And if you fancy selling those forks LMK  ;)

I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Thanks all

@ mattdub, the SID had to go to make way for the decals that are arriving shortly

Very nice build there fella  :daumenhoch:

Perfect for the job

Does that mean you know what the forks are other than being made by akisu?? Because I have no idea,  as the robinson branding are just stickers, i can see where original decals used to be they were much larger

lookin good, nice plate  :daumenhoch:

everyone has commented on my plate, I too love it, but i think it may be a touch too midschool for this build, i dont has an OS one that would suit, other than a cheapy mesh one with a blue border from Banrupt bike parts

Cheers fella, although my aim was never to fool anyone. I simply wanted to retain the midschool [well 1990/1] flava but ad a little retro into the mix, kinda like the new fiat 500 does!!

Not strictly era correct, but then again what would be correct on a early 90's goose with 83 decals?? Anyway I like them, and they only cost me £11
