S&M Dirtbike XL nos
« on: February 22, 2011, 02:38 PM »
Well, seeing as no one was going to bother risking grabbing this from the Big Red Evil Discount company, I decided to order it and see if it existed. I nearly shat the bed when it actually arrived, and it is MINT.
S&M Dirtbike XL. I rode this frame in the year 99 or 2000 I think - nearly 7lb in weight! But this is the nice looking model without the Standard style front gusset and without the silly welded on plate on the chainstay brake bridge. Nice and clean but seatstay mounted brakes rather than classic chainstay.
I love the motorhead style graphics. It's in a very dark chocolate brown, 1.1/8" headtube, weird serial number [XLMY anyone?] , USA bottom bracket, and 20.75" toptube.
This is staying as a wall hanging in the shop - it's a nice little piece of history, all for £59.99.  :uglystupid2:
