The 3rd one looks like Barton to me and Finn Hall's grandad is stood in the crowd with a blue bubble coat on.  :daumenhoch:

I agree because at Heywood there was nowhere to stand as wide as that except for the final straight, which was short and didn't have a big jump on like the one in the pic.  And the trees look like the ones in your pics from Barton.

I don't remember a Craig Ashworth, but thanks for the pics  :daumenhoch:

My memory has failed me. I think it was Barton now you mention it.
BTW what year and month did the Barton track open?

In that pic of Barton above, does any old RVR member know if the bloke on the right in the wellies and cap is Steve Davidson's dad who did commentating at Heywood and his kid Steve was a little ginger kid?  Is that them stood there...I am thinking it's the dad but the kid looks a bit small, he would have been about 10 at the time and I remember quite liking him at one point but god he looks young there!  I remember dropping them off at his house once for some reason and riding round his steets on our bikes and sitting with him once on a coach back from a meeting, think it was the Crewe team coach, it was quite cool with just a square section of seating at the back with a tv and a load of us just sat on the floor in there.  Don't know when or where from though.
