Why oh why is it necessary to call a bike a pos.
Don't let the cynicism of adulthood dim the joy of childhood...ever!!!
Its probably lasted because it was not used or used for doing a paper round If it had been raced or used for freestyle it would not have lasted longer than a better made frame
Quote from: wish id kept my TA on April 25, 2010, 07:39 AMIts probably lasted because it was not used or used for doing a paper round If it had been raced or used for freestyle it would not have lasted longer than a better made frame The percentage of 'bmx's' that were used for proper freestyle or racing was probably minute compared to the numbers sold back in the 80's. Loads of kids (myself included) only ever used them for bombing around with their mates and jumping off kerbs. This was my first BMX, so holds many memories. Mine was identical to the one at the start of the thread, but had yellow acorns instead. Good times were had, and not a race track or quarterpipe to be seen.
so who 'freestyled' on one? I'm sure Dominguez rode one before his days on the 'Haros & the Hutchs'
