New Transport to Work:
« on: October 03, 2010, 04:57 PM »
So, I picked this up from Sparky yesterday:

It's a lovely bike in immaculate condition. The little details on the bike are excellent like the SE racing donuts on the grips and the brake cable which are braided/coated in clear plastic type that I've not see before - the saddle is something else, very comfy. Sparky was a great guy to do business with also. I'm also chuffed to ride a bike that's named after Scot Breithaupt (and his bike), who pretty much organised the first proper BMX racing.

I thought I'd show you all a picture before I set it up for winter use tonight with lights and mudguards.

Cheers guys, and I'm well aware of the "Ronald MacDonald bike" name for it; at work I'm already the nutter that rides BMXs to the office  :daumenhoch:
I've flipped the stem over and moved the spacers to the top to bring the bars down a couple of inches. I'm already looking forward to the ride home tomorrow.

Nah, I'm skint now so it's gonna be cheap black bits. I don't think it'll detract much from the subtle colourscheme  :D

Here ya go then; it took a while to find a front mudguard that fitted as most MTB guards have an expander bolt that goes inside the steerer tube - which wouldn't fit due to the caliper brake.
