'92 pro series pics.

I'm now happy enough with the look of the bike to post pics. It's not built up completely original but is lovely to ride, just as good as my present bike I think. Had to use an inverted stem in the end as I'm not 8 foot tall
. Forks are not quite right but will have to do for now as I'm skint. Back wheel is temporary until I find my holy grail of a 32h sun chinook chrome rim, later than the original 36h ones but good enough for me. And I'm planning on getting a pad set sorted when I can afford it.
I alway's loved these at the time and drooled over the ads for hours. Thankyou to all the people who helped me out with parts and advice
.

Nice bike!!
Hopefully my '92 GT Elite will look as good!!
Whats up with the forks? They look the same as mine and they're a '92. Unless its a 'D' for Dyno on the Bologna cut forks.
If you like the Oddy triple trap pedals then I might have a spare pair of GT Triple Traps going spare. If your interested then I'll have a look for ya!!

Thanks everybody.
The forks on there at the moment seem too skinny and the bend is very rounded. On all the pics I've seen of these bikes the forks look more of a V shape at the top and look fatter. I may be wrong and can't do much about it at the moment anyway. I found a few 36h rims but no 32h yet, one day I hope

Yea, I was wondering if the forks I have are off a later mach 1 or expert or even some cheaper aftermarket ones but havn't looked into it at all. Found some what look right in U.S. but ££££££££'s and I'm skint now so it's as it is 'till I feel rich again. I havn't actually rode my Dialled since this was finished, trying to look after the tyres a bit though

ok here are the forks on my 90 pro series, they are pointed at the top like 80 GTs, the last two pics are some later mid 90s GT forks i have in the loft which look like yours.
also if you take a look at the 92robinson amtrac thread on these pages you will see another Gt fork again.
the forks on my 90 don't have a bologna cut and have a pointed top.
the forks on the amtrac have a bologna cut and are pointed at the top
the forks in my loft and by the look of things on your Gt have bologna cuts and are rounded at the top
pic added of the amtrac with GT forks

Yea your dead right, it's the ones like those on the robinson I'm after (I saw them on there yesterday).
It was the overall shape I alway's loved about these GT's and the forks are quite an important part of this to me so I will get some when I can afford them/find them.

Just to throw my tuppence in:
My forks are stamped as 1992, have the bologna cut and are not rounded at the top.
I think the bologna cut forks were introduced in 1992, but only on the XL and pro-sized frame and fork sets in the Elite range. The complete bikes in the range all seem to have non-bologna cut forks.
From 1993 the pro-series complete came with bologna cut fork and the stuff lower down the complete range continued to have the non-bologna cut forks.
I could be wrong about all this though!!
EDITED: Whoops: my forks are stamped as 1992, have the bologna cut and are not rounded at the top.

I've done a little research and I think Neckbrace's forks (the rounded top with bologna cut) were from mid-nineties freestyle bikes:

My Amtrac doesn't have a bologna cut on the forks.
Does yours say GT on them?
If they do then I dont think they are right.

They raent the original forks off the bike but I like the look of them, they are dinked on teh inside of the legs hence why I am after another set.
