What kinda rear brake do I need?

Im just about to start restoring a '99 GT Vertigo/Performer for my kid, it has 2 pins on the lower chainstays to fit a brake to but not sure of the type to buy (pic below), any info would be appreciated, would something like a DC fs 990 brake fit, is it the correct type of brake? Never done anything with mid bikes before so please excuse my ignorance

yep a ad990 or fs990 will fit fine and is deffo mid school

Cheers, thought that style of brake looked correct, my kid Kieran is picking all the parts for his bike so not sure how it will turn out, gonna be white/blue i think

Are the Vertigo and the performer framesets identical as I have a Performer decal set which would look good on it once it comes back from getting fresh powdercoat.
