Gen 1
« on: April 04, 2010, 04:04 PM »
Well it's been a long time coming, after Germany 2009 and meeting up with Bob Haro, I just had to source a Gen 1  :smitten:

I managed to bag the frame and forks from Matt Swivel, then came the tricky bit of finding some bars ! I contacted a few peeps to bend their arm but nothing gave ! After negotiating a price north of £500+ off a well known seller, who ended up not wishing to sell them I almost gave in ! BMX Addicts came to my rescue and I ended up with two nos pairs for less than £300 !

I was going to go down the NOS, re chrome route like I usually do, however I built this up with mainly used parts in tip top condition, Bars NOS from Juan, Wheels and Crank used from Pete Quad, Pedals Stodgy, Tyres Bodamus , Brake cables Rom Bloke, Seat Harorider ! So thanks chaps who helped me out on this build !

Like I said a mix of NOS but mainly used bits !

I've been a tad busy recently with various other projects, Kitchen, Allotment, yes Allotment, my new hobbie, however I now have a few builds on the go and it feels good

Nick  :daumenhoch:

Very jealous Nick, very jealous  :4_17_5:.

Would love one of these myself although I reckon I'd keep it as a frame and fork if I ever found one at a reasonable price; like that's ever going to happen  ;D

Pedals were from me you big gaynor. But Stodgertron 3000 kindly me some for you . Anyway.......been too busy and had not much interest in bikes lately but once in a while someone pulls something out the bag to perk me up again. It's you! Lovely bike, adding the extra black bits looks great. And like the green touches in respect of our welsh flag. Now get back to your leeks.
