Vitus BMX - my new build

As I am on the hunt to build all the bikes I have either owned or raced at some point, I have now finished the next bike on my list... A Vitus Durolonix.
This was marketed in the UK as a Peugeot and that is what I had to test for a few months, however I always wanted the Vitus version.
The frame is made from aluminium and has no welds it is bonded to save weight. The frame and forks weigh just over 3lb and it is the pro version not the mini.
All of the parts are in original condition i.e. no polishing at all, if it was meant to be dull aluminium it has stayed dull.
The bike all in weighs in at a lardy 20.6lbs.
Oh yes before anyone says anything, it does not need a seat clamp as it has an integrated one underneath the top tube.

Nice looking build
How did the old bonded joints hold up on that thing, always liked the look of em just never sure if they would stand up to the job?

Wow,
this is an OS High Tech beauty. The aluminium bonding technique was developed and used in the aircraft building facilities, and the race bike crazy french people had Airbus Industries that transfers
know how to the Vitus guys. I hold the vitus frame a few times in my hands (in the 80ties) and
it is still fascinating that it works.
Cool mix withh Zeronine!
cheers
