What Bike?
« on: February 04, 2010, 11:38 AM »
Hi All,
I'm thinking about buying my first race bike and I've pretty much got it down to two possibles:

Kuwahara LaserLite Pro Bike (2010)

or,

Intense Race Pro XL Bike (2010)

I'm about 5'6/7.

Any help with which one to go for would be very much appreciated :daumenhoch:

Both decent entry level bikes so choice will probably come down to price/value for money and which looks best.

Put some pics up of each one so we can compare.

go with the intense.  it may feel a little bit weird but once you get used to the change you should notice being quicker

I've looked at the redline and the free agent.

at this price, the redline looks a bit boring colour wise! the free agent limo looks good though!

Don't go on looks, check the components ::)

Redline offer some of the best components for an 'off the shelf bike'

Free agents have a long back end and that won't suit your height.

Yeah Baby!

I stuck a big Maxxis holy roller on the front this morning and it's looking hot :smitten:

What size tire are used by racers nowadays?

there's a can of worms topic  ;D

Latest trend is to go smaller than you would expect, I've just dropped to a 1.75 front and rear both maxxis holly rollers......gotta say I really like it.
