whats the advantage of small over large flange hubs, and are the acs stock hubs any good ?

small flange " should be stronger" but in all honesty its pretty hard to break a hub with normal riding

didn't the large flange supposed to make for a stiffer wheel?  ie less sideways flex??  not to sure though?
