Dialled MX24R
« on: March 05, 2009, 01:33 PM »
Here's a sneak peek.

Bought a new Eclat Webster seat in Brown with matching grips but I don't think they'll look right so I've bought a black set instead.

The brown will be for sale on Saturday.

Not happy with the colour but it's staying like this for at least the first year.

If the frames become popular then I'll have more colour options in future, but the factory did me a big favour by making so many different size BMX frames in one batch, so I didn't want to take the piss by asking for lots of different colours as well.

Expert, Pro, XXL and Cruiser are all "that blue", and the Expert XL and Pro XL frames are "candy apple red(ish)".

Colours a personal thing.  I can understand if Zippy doesn't like blue.  I don't think I've ever had a BMX blue bike either.

Everybody who's seen that colour has been raving about it, so I'll definitely do some more frames in that colour in future.

Dunno how to describe.  Paint shop just calls it pearl red.

There's nothing wrong with the Blue it comes in, it's just that I want it to stand out (hard to do next to Crooch's masterpiece).

I'm going to keep it s it is for a season and see what it looks like at the end of it as I haven't made up my mind what colour to get it done instead.

However on a totally different note can I say what a lovely ride it is. The CroMo frame is so supple, there's a noticeable difference to an Alminium framed bike. Can't wait to take it to the track and thrash it.

Heres one one mine :

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
