About nov 1984. The way i see it is the cali full cromo frame and forks are all 85-86 so they probs had loads of frames left and decided to upgrade the range in the USA. It was only the usa spec that had full cromo frame and forks calis. The bmx craze was coming to an end and sales were dropping fast so mongoose probs decided to get rid quick. It was not long after when mongoose were taken over then it all went tits up as far as im concerned. The last great bmx they did was the rupe in late 85- 86. All down hill from there  :'( :'(

slowly dropping into place

so around poss late 84 the full cromo expert frame came out in the states replacing the trimoly one
- though why with the supergoose already there i don't know
(meaning that the frames were subtley different in dimensions)

which also became the UK supergoose

what we need now is a US test from 84 of the cali & expert !

hmm check the brake pad location to the axle location in the first picture. pretty poor build imo for a marketing pic.
one of them loop tail mongoose is on the wish list, they look so cool.
