Which tyres ?

Which tyres are favourite for my Elf Doublecross ?
Black or tan wall Dirt Monsters or black wall Megabytes all fat thin combos.

Dirt Monsters were never race tyres. They were designed for trails / street and only appeared in the late 90's anyway. Personally I think they always look out of place on a race bike, especially an early mid.

If it were me it would be Megabites all day long.

Ultimately it's your personal preference I guess, mid 90's bike so you can go either way.

Magazines are a good guide to what were riders using at the time.

Quite like to see it with black wall tyres (or as we used to call them 'tyres') - there's loadsa builds with tan walls
