Looks like it rides nice too. My son is throwing it around like his new school race bike already.

You don't see many blue ones.

A mate of mine in Perth had a blue Aussie made MXII & it was a completely different blue to this. This is almost a candy blue which made me pay attention to it.

It has some battle scars which add to its character. When it retires from active service it will get stripped & bought back to new form.

That is a stunner  :daumenhoch:  I wouldn't strip that original colour though bro when you finished racing it. Try building it like I did my Team Goose. Original paint and decals with NOS parts. It looks great built like that and still retains the character and originality that is so hard to find these days  ;)

Was going to play the repaint by ear anyway. I do have a soft spot for survivors.

Will just see what condition its in when my son is finished with it. He has a 79 Microline too that he would love to get out on the track but its very much a show bike now so I have given him pretty much free reign on this one.

I have made a few small changes to this little beast.

I am traditionally a black seat, black grip kind of guy but I just could not refuse a Redline Elina.

I know what you mean about the long pad.

I bought the pads way before the frame & fork because I had some Cal Lite Redline pads when I was a kid. This build seemed like a good reason to pull them out of storage.
