Opinions please
« on: July 03, 2012, 04:01 PM »
Hi folks. Just after your opinions please.

I am after a newschool BMX and quite like the Redline Proline Expert XL. Are they any good ? I appreciate there may be better out there but for a £500 budget they seem pretty good.

??????

Great race bike for the money IMO.

The expert is for little people though...how tall are you?

I didn't realise they were for little people. I thought with having the XL in the title it may have been ok for me. I am 5'11 tall.

Yep, Expert/Expert XL are for 5'8" absolute max - they have a very short toptube and are built for young, small, light people. Not fat old blokes...lol.

At your height I would go for the Redline Proline XL - that's the size Redline recommend for your size.

Give me a shout if you fancy one and I can sort you out a good deal.

It might have to be the Redline Proline Pro XL instead. These are for normal sized people i believe. It's a 21" TT and 20" wheels as opposed to the Proline Expert which has 18" wheels i think.

The Pro XL is about £540 which takes it over budget but budgets always get stretched anyways.

I have done alot of shopping around and have probably looked at too much now because there are loads out there around this price. I love the Redlines but am open to suggestions of other makes/models that might be worth consideration ???

Help  :-\

Gave Stodgy a call today and he sorted me out a cracking package for my step daughter. He definately comes recommended and i suggest you give him a call with your requirements prior to going anywhere else. By the way, this is not an ass kiss. It just seems that finding friendly people and good service is increasingly hard to find these days and we are all too quick to put those down that mess us about. I think its nice to give credit where credit is due so i just wanted to say thankyou Stodgy  :daumenhoch:
