Just got these pics from Craig Schofield.

He's decided to turn his old office into a mini Museum of his time in BMX.

The story so far...









I'll update this thread as the collection of Memorabilia grows... :cool:

He has yet to put his 'World Championship Trophy' in there...  :lol:

I've got a few bits for him as well that will make the perfect Raleigh BMX show piece.

Special Factory Raleigh  ;) , saw it at Bournemouth in 05 . Dave will fill in more info I'm sure  ;)

I think the other bike has the Raleigh Team Reynolds built frame :Great_Britain:

As Matt & Monkian have stated, the Blue bike is Craig's Team Issue Frameset.

This was build by the Special Development Unit at Raleigh's site in Ilkeston (Digby Street).

Craig admits the geometry is horrendous and from memory I think Craig said this dates to around 81' - 82'









Craig restored this himself a few years ago, and does have some later components on it than he would have run BITD.

Is that frame Painted Titanium Dave, I know that the special needs projects people did a few ti road and mtb frames in the eighties/nineties  ???

753 - Heat-Treated Manganese-Molybdenum. The most exclusive tube set from Reynolds. Essentially 531 made with reduced wall thickness and heat treated to increase tensile strength. 753 can only be lugged and fillet-brazed with an alloy of 56% silver below 700 degrees Celsius and sale is restricted only to approved builders certified by Reynolds.

Its a very well crafted frameset... just very odd from the geometry perspective, worse than a MK2 Burner...  ;D ;D

Geometry wise it looks alot like the Airborne misbehavin frame from the late 90's, Airborne knew a winner when they saw it  :D

Simon Ti on Raleigh bike s doesn't mean anything to do with Titanium  ::)


It stands for " Tube investments" the company merged with Raleigh in the 1960's ,,hence Raleigh Ti on all the bikes produced through 60's 70's 80's
