Early 80's action
« on: September 09, 2008, 02:51 PM »
After seeing Tony 1-4's old race pictures i thought i'd better get my finger out and scan all of mine.

I'm starting of with Albury which i'm afraid bit the dust as a track quite early on in bmx's first boom, strange because if my memory serves me right Don Smith (who was big in bmx at the time) was very involved in the track.

October 1981 coming through second berm to the tabletop

same day as above     we were very conscious about race fashion in those days

mum couldn't have got any further away with the camera

November 1981

Buckmore park
April 1982     the scene of my only broken bones so far ;D

That last pic just before the bomb hole at Buckmore is a Dave Ferguson shot isnt it? I have one of me taken by him from the same place on the same day probably minutes after that was taken!!

Quality pics....

Oh the reason your mum was so far away...... I do believe Albury had quicksand all over the place, especially after it rained :buck2:
A long time ago, in a land far away!
