On his last skaterham vert sesh before he has his knee rebuilt 'steve austin' style, he pulls a fat 540 at coping height

fooking mental, he aint done one for 9 years! there cant be many 41 year olds riding vert, let alone doing 540's

well done rob, you went out with a bang

now hurry up and get that knee sorted, you've got plenty of riding years left in ya

Top notch!! only seen Bob ride a few times up at Epic/creation and he is one smooth rider!

so rob, will you be at charlton this week?

my bike is almost ready now. just needs things tightening up properly and i'm ready to go.

also, anyone going to charlton this week that has a nice chunky size allen key (i don't know what size, but bigger than the ones i have) could they please bring it with them. hand tightened bolts aren't always ideal...

i had my video camera there, but i was on top of the ramp when he was doing the set up airs and didnt have it to hand

he wasnt going to do another either, shame it was a peach, doing one must be a bit of a blur for the rider

Cheers everybody. T'was a good night. We all rode well. Dirtyvans goes higher every week, Rarman Rob found his rythm in the end and was airing near coping level - bloody good effort.

PaulM was moaning about his airs on one side of the ramp and was still clearing 9ft on t'other!! He also pulled a couple of the best no footers I've seen in a long time

And I finally got back on the 540 tip. It's been nagging me for 6 months or more, and after a night of quite smooth airs and a couple of tidy inverts I had a moment of clarity up on the deck. With surgery looming, twist it now just in case you can never do it again......

So round I went. Clipped my front wheel on the first attempt which had me off into a harmless slam. Go again with a little more aggression, kept my head in and it all went to plan. Happy days
