Name: Spencer Williams aka Spen69
Occupation: Civil Engineer - I design & construct railways and specialist railway bridges>
Years Collecting: 10 - my brother bought me my NOS Ammaco 202 for my 30th birthday and got me back into it after 15 years away on mountain bikes
Interests: after 25 years of partying I've finally started a family, so my daughter and my son take up all my spare time
Dislikes: ugly women
Favourite BMX: 1970's Mongooses and early 80's race & trick bikes
Favourite Old School BMX Brand: Mongoose / Haro / MRD
It got a bit out of hand a few summers ago so I've slimmed down the collection....
Ride this everywhere
'till I fooked up my landing (that's what a skull fractured in 6 places bruises like)......
Now ride this 1978 Team Mongoose.......
Always wanted one, so got one....
Built a custom mini one for my daughter (cheers N2cus & Del).......
Turned to the dark side and bought a 22" wheeled NS bike so gonna give it some stick this summer.......
Had Haro's, TA's and a lot of Mongooses along the way. Still got my NOS Ammaco 202 of course......
More pics will follow but that's good enough to start with

Finally found time to finish a few more Haros and finish my Team Mongoose
Here's my latest shot of my '88 Sport

Well it's been nearly a year since I updated this, but all's changed except the Haro Gen Zero that tried to kill me and my Team Mongoose. Got into a couple of proper bikes since Steve Animal conviced me last year at MK that he wasn't mad, so here you go
1978 Team mongoose (retired to pony duties after being my MK racer for a few years)
1979 Mongoose custom build (bit of a pony this one due to the nice rims)
Not a bad pair of Geese to keep I think
1982 Ammaco 202 (definitely work in progress)
1983 Gen Zero (retired after trying to kill me former ramp rider)
1984 MRD Expert (current racer / nip to the shops / pub / Radchester daily rider)
1985 MRD Badlander (ramps & skateparks everyday rider - love this bike)
MRD's R us

Just an update after my clear-out to pay for this year's holiday..... not only am I missing MK but I had to sell half of my collection for the priviledge
All that's left....
1978 Team Mongoose
1985 MRD Badlander
2010 Knightbikes Retro Park Goose
1982 Ammaco 202
Still riding though - just can't quite get out of that 7' quarter

Redone my Badlander to be back to the oldschool (well, it's running a 39/14 gearing and a one-pice crank now)
Also got a couple more 'Geese to build

Took my new Race RetroGoose for it's maiden voyage last weekend on Wini's Leeds ride and it is definitely staying with the other flock of Geese as it is simply fookin ace, end of
Joined it's wilder brother today
And then the old man turned up to show them what started it all

Can't seem to find the time to ride my oldschool stuff so the Badlander went
Bought some spanking new wheels for the RetroGoose with the cash though so at least I didn't waste all of it
I also got a WeThePeople Zodiac off here the other day I really like riding already as the back end is slammed
Still got my '78 Team Mongoose but put my original Pro-Class wheels on it as I can't bear to see them hanging on the wall

Sold my Retrogoose and WTP Zodiac to help fund a house move a few years back and rode my spare WTP Versus for a few years. Just in the process of returning to newschool in disguise as I'm building one of the new 2019 GT Pro Performers up how I want it. Will sort some decent skinwall tyres out as BSD have released the ones I want, so for now it looks like this

Rides great as it's a 20.75" tt and a 28/9 gearing, so I'm just getting used to it
20.75" GT Pro Performer 2019 re-issue frameset with Odyssey Director forks
Alienation rims on Cult hubs with Salt Pitchfprk tyres
Redline Monster cranks
Salt bars / re-pop GT stem / ODI grips
DC Hombre / Odi Monolever / slick cable / sticky pads brake
Stickers to fool the kidz into thinking it's old but it isn't

Few more stickers thanks to Len and Ed. Looking for a used and abused look to this like early mid-school when Performers were still being used. Might have to get a front Tuff wheel to finish the look - orange or red should do the trick I'd say
