Front sprocket size and u brakes
« on: August 22, 2012, 12:51 PM »
I changed my 40 to a 33T and it never occurred that the chain height would drop and interfere with the ruddy rear U brake boss. Only lightly scraping on back pedalling but annoying all the same. Chain tugs cured it, but I thought i'd mention it. The fw is a 17T. I suppose grinding the boss's down would help.

on my old Fly Diablo i ran a bit of Velcro round the top of the brake nut and round the chainstay..........that way you don't hear the chinking of the chain  :daumenhoch:
