Number 3 of 5, Freestylin' Skyway TA
« on: July 30, 2011, 12:04 PM »
Got a little bit of fettlin needed on this one, mainly wanting blue freetyle tyres, but apart from that she's just about there.  I'm sure it won't be to everyones taste as some see the TA as a pure racer, but I like 'em with a freestyle slant.  Sure I'll also cop it for the new Redlines as well, but I can take it  ;D  Sadly only got the frame, and had to use some tange aero forks as the TA ones are like rocking horse shite, but I dont think they look out of place.

So here's my 1983 curved brake bridge TA, hope you like  :daumenhoch:

Sorry for the crap phone photos and poor visual backdrop, hoping to get decent photos when I'm done with all 5

Cheers me old mucka!  Yeah, got two sets of pegs sat here but the Tuffs have been rebuilt on replacement axles as the originals were fooked so the threads are different  :'(

Might be able to swap the tuffs from the GT thinking about it though.....

Cheers lads,

Mick, you're probably right and I'll keep my peepers open for a set od mk 1's but as far as shape soes, I actually prefer the mk 2's.  Just a preference really

Jaymz, yeah got the spindles and caps sorted out in the end mate.  Big thanks to bigfatollie for giving me the spindles FOC  :daumenhoch:

Ricardo, yep, think you might've seen it before somewhere  ;)  You coming to MK?

I love the framestanders and bolt ons too, but realise it isn't to everyones taste and it looks a look cleaner without.  Still weighs less than some of my others with all the extra sh*t on there!

Looks good like people say blue tyres would be perfect comp III's or Knarler Knobbys.

Great Looking TA and I am loving the platform.  I would run a Potts mod on the front brake.  Great fusion of colours :daumenhoch:  Cant wait for number 4/5 :4_17_5:

Really nice mate ;) Some times you can get to hung up on re-building bikes exactly to factory spec, but bitd day most of us collected odd bits and chucked them together, so for me it's all about taking you back, and that ticks the most important box for me :)

Everyone round my way wanted a TA bitd, I'm the only one who still does :smitten:
