Hey... you'll have to excuse me as i don't know too much about BMX's, so have very little idea about this bmx's parts or anything... i was hoping some people may be able to help me somewhat.
I bought this PK Ripper a few years ago because it looked too good to pass by & i also had a hunch that it was worth more than i was asked to pay for it.
I was hoping to hold onto it for a few more years, but now that i'm moving i sadly don't have anywhere to store it other than my mother's damp old garage - something i won't be opting for.
I have no idea as to it's estimated worth. The frame itself is in top condition apart from a small chip where the seat is inserted. The "PK RIPPER" sticker on the frame doesn't have straight edges anymore, but the lettering isn't damaged or anything. Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest - so you can't really see what i mean.
I've tried to do some research, but can't seem to find too much out myself. I was told not too long ago that it's maybe from the 1985 era.... straight rear chain stay apparently being the main giveaway... which if true, would mean the bike is in fantastic condition for a 24 year old. I've also been told that it's missing the (original & rare) landing gear forks, but i don't know anything about what it currently has....?
I'd appreciate any further light or confirmation that could be shed on it!

p.s. The forks at the front have since been turned around to be the right way... that's how little i knew haha.

Yeah you're right, it did come across as though i was selling it here & now... apologies!
Though, i probably will sell it very soon... or even give it away if it's going to a safe & appreciative home.

Do you think it would be worth the while buying landing gear forks for it?
I've been told there are particular 85 landing gear forks from the same year as the bike, that have a different stamp on them (making them all the more rarer & pricey...) but if that's true, i'm the kind of guy that would rather hunt them down as to opposed to just replacing them with any landing gear forks...

If you want to give it away to a good home I will look after her for you.
If you are getting rid then don't be spending money on LG forks....be a cool bike with a refurb though and some tlc.

Haha.

They are the right way now... hence the "p.s." at the bottom of my post...  8)

Sweetbeats... when the time comes i'll give you the heads up. Moving into my new apartment mid-November, so it'll likely be at the end of next month. I still want to give it a thorough clean up & play around with some other parts i have first!

Good luck finding the correct forks,  and you are right about the SE stamp.
