Had this finished for a while just not posted any pics up. It is a replica of my old bike. It took me a while to get all the bits especially the grips and there was quite a bit of resto involved.
The frame came with a really badly crushed brake bridge, damaged dropouts and a few dings here and there. I had a word with Phil (Sawall) and he kindly worked his magic and repaired them all :4_17_5: .

The flights are old 177mm ones and were in a bit of a poor state so they were sorted

The pedals were in a bad way :-

Hubs were a bit goosed and so were the bars (they were orange with rust) and the Hutch stem was all pitted and peeling, didn’t manage to get any before images of those.

Yes Leigh again :daumenhoch:

Better chrome work than your gen1?
-
Yes and no. He did a better job round where the BB meets the rear chainstays because I told him to spend a bit more time polishing round there and he didn't have to do as much polishing as it wasn't pitted as much. But there were some slight raised dots on one side of the frame as if there was a bit of dust on it when it was chromed, I was gonna speak to him about it but it seemed to polish out with a bit of autosol. Overall though I'm pretty pleased.

Comeback for another look, stunning :4_17_5:
Think I might have a play with my spare set of XCII cages to see if I can retain the lettering although mine look pretty worn away :(. Did CCA re--anodise the cages?
-

Fantastic build, one of the best GT Pro's I've ever seen.
Can I ask you a wee question did you have to get the chrome stripped before the frame repairs?
