Hi folks. Parents bought over an old photo album today which bought back some memories (boy does time fly) so thought I'd share some of the pics. I loved this bike and have not seen a complete one (without the gusset) since I've got back into this BMX lark...hope you like:
Chritsmas 82 or 83 and new bike, Dad says it cost around £140 from Halfords. I'd already got the Pro Trax top lid and gloves....and generic goggles from Halfords in anticipation...think I've got the Holeshot look!! Moccasans optional extra!!

Dad nicking my ride......number plate 341 being our house number. Dad says he's still got that cardi somewhere ;D
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/s6/aerostylie/Dad.jpg)
Over time, parts started to change (for better or for worse). I'd taken off all the decals, added CW bars, mushies, DX pedals, whitewalls and pegs:

Not sure about this trick, I'm sure there's a foot down behind that wall ;D Notice braced layback, Reynolds 531 tubing I think...and Radkap on the front wheel from a BMX action issue.
And a couple more tricks or some sort or another involving rear pegs....nothing changes there then:

Dad posing (that's where I get my good looks from ;D) with Yes baseball cap. Change of levers to MX type and CW bars (not sure if copies or were genuine):

And although not on my bike, this was on my wall at home.....Neil Ruffell or Craig Campbell? Not sure what's attached to me head either......didn't have any pets at our house......I'm probably about 14/15:

And alive and kicking 2009 stylie aged 39 :daumenhoch:

Hope you liked the montage, really pleased these were found, very fond memories indeed. Big thanks and lots of love and respect to Dad (Keith) who was the only one working at the time for scrimping and saving to get me a BMX bitd :4_17_5:
Paul :)

:LolLolLolLol: Cheers Nic.....gods honest he used to be a bouncer (errr I mean doorman) at the Laccano in Brum back in the late 70s early 80s to earn extra money to keep the family.....so he sort of knew how to use em
Now he's happy with a cup of tea, comfy slippers and Corrie 8). He's about 39-40 there and now he's almost 66, time flies eh

Fantastic.....you're the first person on here that had the same bike as me!!
I had one of those but for some reason I've never seen any photos of one other than mine! Mine was exactly the same mate when I got it but like you I changed the parts over a period of time.
Nice one mate.

Yes mate, Holywell Bay skatepark just outside Newquay, some of my earliest photos them.
It was a well dodgy park but I still had fun, I spent just about every day there for the two weeks we were there.

Daz 'Flatcap', those pics are well cool mate, looks like you fully utilised the turbo, didn't think it would have stood up to that sort of riding looking back now.
Thanks for all the comments as well, a real blast from the past but with a tinge of sadness as peeps get older.
Would deffo like to re-create that bike again, never seen a Turbo 20X f&f (only the gussetted version which I think was the Halfords Turbo 20 prior to the revamped X). So that's now on my wanted list (might even trade the T/A f&f for one.......that's a joke btw before anyone starts.......I think!)
-
I've got a Halfords Turbo 16 and a 24 but a 20 has eluded me so far..

you dun arf look like yer Dad
