Yep Jon, cashin in, but tyres are meant to get trashed, no worries anymore ridin yellow labels :)
they don't seem to have the Mitsu markings like original ones, only the label, so they're easily recognizable..

Kashi re-issue
Some of you have noticed someone selling Kashimax Aero's on ebay that are new and don't have say "aero" (just Kashimax). Yes, Kashimax has re-issued these seats. Currently, they're only available in Japan. The person selling on ebay is in Japan, btw. But I got word that the US Kashimax distributor says they'll be available in the states in about a month in a wide variety of colors (except black, so get yourself a white one and a packet of RIT dye). I found them on two Japanese sites going for $40 and $45 equivalent, so the $70 that's on ebay (not to mention shipping from Japan) will probably be prove to be a lot more than they'll sell for over here. I guess we can thank our fixie rider friends for creating demand for the classic seats.
There is also a "Kashimax Aero" which is padded and comes in a variety of coverings. They fatter and fluffier than the original leathers, but still cool. Unfortunately, they're priced for the fixie crowd and will probably be around $100-125.
The "Handler" has also been reissued, btw, for you freestylers.
A google image search for "Kashimax" will get you some pics.
Anyway, good news for us :-) And good news for the owners of the originals, since the re-issues don't say "aero" and will thus be easily identified (though they could, potentially, add that when making them for the US, I suppose).

Found it, have to agree though if they could make the side walls a little bit more tanned they would be great :)
-
Hmmm, those walls look more gummy than skinny.........

Yeah, would be good to see what they look like in real life :daumenhoch:
I'd take a fat and thin pair though ;)
-
They look to be a similar finish to the Odyssey gum walls, maybe from the same factory... ???

I can see them getting snapped up and then sold for a higher premium on ebay then ::)
