i'll second that
dans a top bloke and prices & work are equally good
best thing i found was other than the quality of the work the frame came back cleaned properly
when ive had other work done ive spent ages having to take bits of paint from brake mounts ect
spose thats what you get when a bmxer does the job for you :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Nice one people :)

You can also get joy from a local powdercoater.. think you really have to explain what you want,
then hand the parts over & fingers crossed :daumenhoch:

from all accounts, dan does a good job, but so does every local powder coater i've used so far in 2 countries. Depend's on your budget.

Very true John
You can usually find a local powder job for £20 ish
that's what a guy in Darwen charges

Anyone know how much 'superbikedan' charges for f+f ?
Thanks

You could try your luck with a local powder coater, or you could give it to Dan & know you will be 100% happy with his work, I would not use anyone else.
& PM SBD & ask him for a price 8)
-
40 quid. but if your not local you will have to pay for postage too.

John he doesn't live in Germany :idiot2:
-
Dan is the one i use. Absolute perfectionist. :4_17_5:
And a wickedly top geezer.
-
Sounds good, his work looks brilliant, and good price too :)
Where is his workshop, so that i'll know if im local or not
LOL
-
Essex, not that far from Rom 8)

I would also like to say that Dan also goes that extra mile to get it JUST right. I cant stress this enough.
I sent a white GT Performer to my local powdercoaters. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Couldnt believe it. :'( :'( :'(
Sent it to Dan and it came back as a new frame. I could have sold it as NOS. :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: JOKE. :buck2: :buck2:
I have also had the pleasure of sitting in his factory for 3 hours why he did 3 frames of mine. Was great to see the master at work.

I had a very good look round before I decided that Dan was the man to go for.
If you go with any local fella that powders crap for a living he won't give a hoot that it's your pride and joy he's messin' with.
"Go for dan the man, He gives a sh*t"
Come to think of it, people pay large PR company's millions to come up with lines like that! (maybe you could do me a frame for free Dan?) (if you want to use my quote) :D
-
A 'regular' powder coater doesnt have the love of bmx like Dan does. That definitely counts towards getting a great finish.
So far ive had my Rebel frame and forks, a pair of Landing Gears and a dia compe hinged clamped powdered by Dan, and all are lovely.
Next up will be my TA...
-
LOL, i got one bad job once through work, i just sent it back, came back perfect, don't pay for crap. Dan's work is top notch, but again it's down to budget. I am a fan of the 2 pack paint system myself, definition of welds on the finished job and variety of finish is second to none. If i lived within a decent distance from dan i'd use him for sure.
-
Yep
The photos in the gallery should be enough to convince you :4_17_5:
First class :daumenhoch:
-
I got a price off Dan - mega reasonable and the postage service he uses is cheap too.
Go for it.

depends on colour, especially if you want a metallic or somat exotic ;)
the price of the price of the powder dictates the variation in cost
