I'm building it........
Get a bloody move on then :LolLolLolLol:
Does it have heating as it's bloody freezing outside.
If you do need a hand, just shout at JEDI :daumenhoch:
-
No heating, but a very nice miniramp :)
-
How come nearly all the decent parks are being built or already are in Essex or that side of the country!!!
:'( :'( :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
-
It certainly never used to be that way. In fact there are still more indoor parks in the north.
Now, as for Colchester, I've spoken to the owner today. She's very much up for more bmx involvement so I've suggested a bmx only night, and private hire to us every now and then :)
-
rob, that sounds like a great idea :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

who needs heating?, I get nice and sweaty....probably on account of me snaking me mates and having more turns than I should....lol....you snooze you lose.
Rob: just as an off topic bit of info, what sizes are mini/midi ramps?
I only ask cos some of what I would call a mini ramp suitable for BMX, like creations mini, get referred to as Midi by some, and it's a fair bit bigger than those minis at corby.

Here's hoping you remade Playstation's :daumenhoch:

Now thats something that is always good to hear about a new park! Nice one Rob.

The MINI at creation is still small, and def a MINI.
A "MIDI" tend to be a ramp that is much closer to vert (but under), usually 6 to 8 ft hight, but still half the height of most actual vert ramps now (hence being a Midi). Steeper ramps are much better for BMX, or at least for peg tricks cos you can lock into the coping much better. Joe, now you are ticking off the peg tricks you will soon find this out for yourself.
-
cheers Alex.
Steeper is better, I've already realised that, but too scared to try those big quarters at Creation just yet.
But I am the master of mellow peg stalls.

Check out the pics from the BSD comp for some really nice Midi ramps. They look so good!
-

looks like my bike (whenever it gets here) and my body (whenever it is mended) may ride again!!!!

NO PEGS!
that's me out then, I only know one trick, and it involves two pegs.

and you're right the website is W4nk.
I love that (note no pegs, must have handle bar plugs)
is in the smallest text on the site.

i guess the horriblebmxskunk rats on their no peg bmx scooters will ride it for 10 minutes before declaring it useless..
a miniramp with a peg ban is like roast beef without yorkshire puddin'!
-
I know pegs can damage the ramps....just have a look at that little quarter in the corner at Corby, got some JT71 peg scars in it, but hell, surely pegs are stil pretty popular on BMXes?
-
Any pictures of work in progress?
What's "Agressive skate" - is that like Rollerball???
-
Why is the BMX pricing TBA? Will it be cheaper as we can't run pegs (yeah right)
-
nothing like alienatiing 50% of your possible revenue from the off.
maybe in Colchester there's a lot more skaters than bmxers.

its where they drop in with knives
-
but no pegs?????

Where in Cowdray is it, as the extreme shop was burnt down when the old industrial units went up.
I'm just down the road so if Rad has a do here I'll surely be able to make that one :daumenhoch:
-
I'll speak to the owners about the no peg thing. They currently have no bmxers at all, and no bmx knowledge. Consequently, they're following what the local skaters are telling them. They have a membership of 120 skaters already, and thats just from a miniramp they have in the shop, so we will always be in the minority there.
She was asking me about pricing the other day, I'll iron that out with her too this week.
The miniramp is very nice, somewhere between Creation and Charlton in shape and size, and has the best rding surface on it (same as Charlton). There's no reason why it can't stand up to some peg abuse :)
-
Gotta love the pictures of the ramps.

:LolLolLolLol:
-
Looks really small in the facebook pics??
-
Yeah, it ain't big.....
But its big enough, if you get me. A full sized miniramp and a vert wall/driveway/1/4 pipe combo. It'll be worth the journey for the miniramp alone if you're currently slapping up to Creation to ride one.
-
Right, get involved ;)
