:LolLolLolLol:
fook, i needed that,
oh dear,

dear,
thats cheered me up no end :daumenhoch:
-
lol joe :2funny:
-
I'm sorry Zak but that is bloody awful.
Each to their own and all that though mate, fair play if you want one.
-
that is the most vile thing i have ever seen!!!
correct me if im wrong but isnt that a mtb frame with 20" wheels?
it is utter shite!!!! imho of coarse
-
is it a bmx?
looks like its made out of lego,
you could make a damn fine bong from them "forks" though :LolLolLolLol:
-
did you see ,i very nearly got of the fence, but joe did all the work for me
-
is that the new 2009 haro freestyler :LolLolLolLol:
-
:wtf: dont like the look of that at all :-X
-
Dont mind the frame, BUT the forks completly fook the look of that bike :)
-
I'm now having second thoughts on the forks... :( :-\, does anyone have one?
-
it should look the bollox but it just doesnt work, i like forks(but not that colour), i like the frame, fookin love the wheels (any body got some?) but not all at the same time.
-
Stick a chilled box on the front and you could sell ice creams on that :wtf:
-
the frame looks like a bottle opener  :LolLolLolLol:
-
My good god. Never ever have I seen anything like that , the WORST thing on two wheels ever. I remember those frames when they came out - what a waste of paying a designer to come up with that. And those forks? Looks like a bloody church pipe organ. And those wheels? You may as well stick two Aerobies in their place. And all together? An actual clowns bike from the circus. Well done Haro. Again.
;D
-
In the late `90s loads of companies were knocking out "monocoque" type frames,Trek,Specialized,Mongoose and a few hideous others. If you think that`s ugly -remember the Jad frames???
-
There goes my dinner.
Fooking awful.
Worse than the anniversary freestyler and that's saying something.
-
my mate nick cox got sponsored by haro and got given some of those frames, he tried one out and gave them away sharpish, rode a yellow dirt bike for years after
-
I like the seatpost :daumenhoch:
-
looks like im he only one who likes this frame... :(
-
the only thing nice about that bike is the amount of times i laughed reading all those digs at it :idiot2:
-
Havedank!
-
I liked those frames when they came out and reckon a polished one with the right parts would look mint.
It was good enough for Stephen Murray to backflip at Mansfireld National :daumenhoch:
:) DINGO :)
p.s, Spin wheels should only EVER go on a GT Ultrabox build :daumenhoch:
-
And those forks? Looks like a bloody church pipe organ.
;D

It probably rides a lot better than it looks, but I'm with the others on this, it really is irretrievably ugly :uglystupid2:
Ray.
-
this bike/thread has been a journey of transition for me,
its just got me thinking,
its just a bicycle,a collection of machined metallic objects configured to work in a certain way,
where does the fact that so many of us find it "ugly"?
is it because it doesnt conform to the double diamond thats traditional in bicycle design for so long?
is it because it strays from the image in our heads of what a bmx bicycle looks like?
why do we imbue these objects with so much thought and opinion?
that bicycle there could be someones pride and joy, even the dude that started this thread said he liked it,
what makes it worse or less attractive than an s&m or a standard?
maybe i'm just getting old or going soft in the head,
maybe being harsh about the stuff others like isnt the way to be anymore
so,
sorry for belittling your bike there dude,
if you like it and it makes you happy then fooking good on you :daumenhoch:
-
;), I like it so much that i've even got hold of someone who has one for sale... :)
-
i dont like the colour of the forks, i like triple clamps but prefer the hanebrink ones as the drop outs are positioned better, love the wheels big time, anybody got any????? and i would have one of them frames (diff colour) if they where 1" threaded n non canti, then again my bike choices are not everybodys cup of tea anyway :D
-
paint it black with very thin outline decals in red it would look the nuts ;) realy like the wheels to
-

I love triple clamp forks but don't like these very much at all. I am looking for a set of triples for a mid-school build that I am in the middle of.
-
it's a bit Marmite in't it? love it or hate it.
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
Personally, I like the frame, how ever those forks and wheels don't do it for me.
I'm not gonna call it ugly, or hideous or sh1t, it's just different, i like different. :daumenhoch:
I've seen a pic on here somewhere of one of these before and it was more sensibly kitted out (in my opinion, which is fo course RIGHT, because I'm one opinionated MF) and it was well nice.
-
I don't mind the frame but triple crown forks should stay on MTB downhill bikes.
Not fond of the Spin wheels either (only mags for BMX are Skyways).
-
Did the Haro Monocoque first appear in 1994?
-
That one on the cover of Plus is the first version which was made for Haro by Mountain Cycle (it was basically a 20" version of their MTB frame).
The one in the pic at the start of this thread is a later version (nice than the original one in my opinion).
That was an odd period in BMX - monocoque frames, suspension forks, triple crowns, etc. I guess carbon and clips are the new school equivalent.
-
There was a Haro ad for a racer with an Auburn-style back end. There was a couple of plates behind the BB that ir bolted onto.
Are they even rarer than this one?
-
someone posted a pic of one not so long back, and yes id say very much rarer as fook, as very nice too
-
The Haro Group One Composite is exceedingly rare. That was ca. 1992. I only ever saw 1 in person, at the NBL Grands. I don't even think the factory team had them. Chip from C4 Labs sold one a few months ago. It was NOS with box and went in the $1200 USD range.
-
I think this is similar to the bike David Jason rode in 'Open All Hours'

...could be worse, could be a dirt bike :2funny:
