Mine wouldnt of got a vote even if the 24" haro wasnt there lol
-
another tough month, some real quality there ! well done all..., just cast my vote ;)
-
A question has been posed to me...what do you guys think?
Dans Haro 24" - there is no doubt is a beautiful thing, superbly engineered and a lot of fun...but is it old school?
Like the Cooks 24" and the 16" Iston Gold Trickstar...the frame was fabricated in 2008 and was never made BITD. Also it rolls on new tuffs and new school tyres.
I'm not saying this to cause upset, just wondering as a couple of people have posed the question to me.
Thoughts please chapplets.
-
For the purpose of being in with a better chance of winning, that Haro is New school ::)
But really its an old school bike thats been adapted just like some where b.i.t.d, and well worthy of winning.
Its a commendable build and should be rewarded with second best build of the month :daumenhoch:
-
I agree, it is an awesome build and there are plenty of other bikes in BOTM with new school parts on them.
I respect everything Dans Haro's does, he's a very talented builder.
BOTM is supposed to be a bit of fun, just wondered what other people's thoughts were that's all, as people had questioned whether it was eligible to win?
I'll state now that it will not be removed from the competition, that would go against the spirt of it all.
-
I vote 796's dog as dog of the month. It's lovely :4_17_5:

Re: Haro Cruiser
Fabricated or not, the F&F and predominance of parts oare OS.....inc OS brake set up
I say keep it in.... it's a superb piece of engineering skill by Dansharos, would we be arguing if it was a Ripper, with replaced seatmast, dropouts etc. from new materials..., where do you draw the line ? - IMHO it's not NS or a Repop, it should be classed as a resto possibly ??
-
Matt - your avatar makes me feel really sick!
It's defeinately staying in dude, that is not in question. Nor, is the fact that Dan is talented and the bike is beautiful. :daumenhoch:
I think the issue has been more around the fact that Haro never made a 24" version of the master. So is it an Old School build or a Retro build (rather than a resto). I'm confussed now.
:crazy2:
Actually, who gives a fook? It's all good.

Dave ! do you want to borrow my bucket !! :LolLolLolLol:
-
You just made me look at it again. My Star Bar almost came up! :2funny:
-
Did you say Star Bar :D
-
Ooooo we love a Star Bar.
-
Some great bikes this month, It's between the MRD and the Dirt Brothers for me though. :-\
-
you gotta keep the haro! thats just one hell of an machine! and BOTM is about something thats never been seen on RAD.... :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
a real marmite one for sure...........loving the MRD and also the Proclass :daumenhoch:
-
MRD
-
:-\ Always the bridesmaid. Anyhoo it's the Kuwey for me - always a freestyler :smitten:
-
As much as the haro is beautiful, in my eyes its a retro build...therefore not old or mid skool at all
would be a shame to take the win away from the MRD or other old skool builds.. sure alot of people have a few wild card parts ..
Classic bikes, not classic looking bikes..
MRD for me :4_17_5:
