It isn't quite finished yet as I'm going to get the bars powder coated, change the grips, tyres, stem and seatpost clamp, oh and sort out the front brake cable, but here it is so far, what do you think?
I'd like to thank lots of rad members for supplying me with lots of bits, but I'll wait until it is fully finished before doing a list. :daumenhoch:

Yeah it's a good idea, I wasn't confident enough that it would be finished to enter it this year, (and unfortunately ended up not going) but I will definitely be visiting the event next year!

A great build for a 1st time. It looks good as it is!!! :)
And I love the Shotgun II!! :smitten:
My preferred choice of seat BITD!!! :daumenhoch:
I think you must have used a SAT-NAV for routing your Potts Mod front brake setup though!! :LolLolLolLol:

That's hiraaarious! :2funny:
I have since tried drilling a hole down the middle of my stem bolt and failed, so now I've routed the cable through my handlebars as it was rubbing on my front wheel!
I've got a new blue Suntour stem coming, but I'm not sure if I dare try to drill the bolt out on that!
What year was the Potts mod invented, is it era correct for an 83/84 build?
-
Potts Mod was 1984 as far as I know!!! :daumenhoch:
-
I thought it must have been after I was riding in my hey-day!
I rode that bike (well the f+fs) regularly at Redditch and at the '83 NEC Halfords meet.
I retired soon after when I realised I just couldn't compete with 13 year olds who were 6 ft tall! :'(

cooooooooooooool

nice bike, very nice! :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:, i reckon you should change the bars though... IMO :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: ;) ;)
-
I agree with you, they were an impulse buy early in the build and I think I could get better, but what though?
All recommendations gratefully received! ;)
-
Looks great but are the tyres the wrong way round? fat on the back, or maybe you rode it that way ???
-
The rear one is fatter... is that not right, it looks cool? :LolLolLolLol:
-
Fat one should be on the front and skinny on the rear :daumenhoch:
-
::) ;D I've been out of the game for 25 years... I can't remember bloody anything from bitd! :LolLolLolLol:
-
