Having a problem with a Odyssey pro headset I bought, went to check against my frame and the bearing cups are like a pr1ck in a bucket. It says on the box 1 inch headset, but also listed on the box is a BMX conversion.
Anyone else come across this, I'm thinking the headset is for a road or MTB. Is there an adaptor available, when I have a had a quick look all the reducers are for 1.5inch to 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 to 1 1/8.
Help :)

"1 inch" headset for a road bike or MTB is smaller than "BMX size", that we know as 1".
It maybe like you said and its an odyssey headset, but not a BMX one.
