No worries Zippy, as defending champ hope you are in training and you are more than welcome to sponsor a race and put up a bike for the end of season raffle. Brilliant :daumenhoch:

oooh tony that'll be a s**t raleigh or a c**p diamond back then or he may change his mind cause the wind is changing direction ;D ;D
unfortuneatley after 3 years of support tibbs won't be able to sponsor hersden any more as got a team to run and loads of nationals etc to attend
-
:LolLolLolLol:
Just happy to be in a position to be able to give something back, especially to a club that really needs and deserves as much support as they can get.
Good luck with the team by the way. :daumenhoch:
-
Good luck with all that Phil, and hope everything goes well, are we still ok to at least put a poster and flyers in the shop if poss :daumenhoch:

Yeah i know :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: i've not felt right so far this week :( feels like i've had the sh*t kicked outa me :crazy2: both my knee's are tender and my shoulders giving a bit of grief but i still think i could be the hersden old skool :4_17_5: :LolLolLolLol:
-
No reason why not. I expect there was a few that didn't expect me to win last year. :LolLolLolLol:
My money is on Mr Rusty to win this year, he really deserves to win it this year. Mind you he'll have to earn it. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Nah i'll take him on :knuppel2: and that boughton bloke and that old tosser glendower ;D mixed it up with them lot on occations 20 years ago but there old has beens now :LolLolLolLol:
-
Well you've got Darren, Me Chris and Dave that are all capable of winning an A final on any given Sunday.
When you put Ratty, Paul, Gary, Jason, Hooga and yourself into the mix as well that's a classic set of races that we'll be having.
If we can get a series going at Herne Bay as well then that'd be the absolute dogs.
-
yeah thats great news :) The kids love racing at Hersden still. There are so many BMX dates about at the minute I cant keep up .. have just got my diary out so write them out and work out what ones we can attend where :)
-
ooooo will be tryin to get all the dates off for this !!!!!! bigger tracks r a little to much for me at my poor skill leval :2funny:
roll on the first hesden meet i might even start trainin ;D
-
I think there's only 2 dates that don't clash with regionals or nationals, but I will try to make those if I can.
-
Obviously it depends where you live, but we picked these dates after the South region dates were announced, we also got hold of Russ and made sure that they didn't clash with anything he had planned for Herne Bay.
I think that there are three of those dates that are the same as Nationals, but being as this years Nationals do not take place in the South, we took those dates. I can only think of a couple of our riders that do Nationals and I cant see them managing to do all those ( fair play to them if they do).

Good to hear that the Hersden Series is running again this year, nice one guys!
Also, just to let everyone know that Kent's first Regional race for a very, very long time will be on the 11th May at the new Herne Bay track. We've also be asked to host the Southern Championships on 28th September. Once the start gate, start hill and car park have been completed, (which shouldn't be too long now) we'll start running some regular weekend/evening practice sessions and we'll think about fitting in some smaller races. The track has now firmed nicely and is running sweet, so weekend sessions are always on weather permitting.
Updates will be coming soon on www.eastkentbmx.co.uk , email us for any further information.
-
Sounds great, looking forward to the weekly practice sessions. :daumenhoch:
-
please note the first race at hersden has moved to the 6th of april, not the 13th as was originally planned.justin.

pm sent re sponsering some races. :daumenhoch:

I think you should re-think that :knuppel2:
:LolLolLolLol:

went over to the track to test new random gate today and its all systems go for the 6th of april.that thing is great.me and dan pullen laid a bit of surface on the bald spots of the track, just need a bit of rain and some riding in.if anyones got one of those weed killer jet bottle thingys, i would appreciate a borrow of it.edges need sorting before spring really kicks in.
also simon at cyclelife will be sponsoring out first race this year and we have trophies for all classes, even cruiser.must have a full gate for cruiser though otherwise mixed in with 17+.i'm sure theres enough of you that are going up to cruiser this year to make this happen.i can think of 3 regulars at hersden just off of the top of my head.many thanks simon.looking forward to a very busy season, and i wont even be doing any nationals.hoping for another great season at hersden, the home of oldschool!!! ;D
-
See you there. :daumenhoch:

Really looking forward to this season's old school class. I think it's going to be a titanic battle between Rusty, Buckmore and Myself for the title this year. My money is on it being Rusty's year though. ;)
I'll bring the young lad who works for me along on his cruiser and I've got my Floval as well so that's at least two in the cruiser class.
-
Good point zipster, it looks like the Cruiser class will have a series this year , so long as there is sustained interest throughout the year.
TK the MIC
-
Hopefully Spillers and Hooga will bring their cruisers as well and we can resurect what was one of the most popular classes
-
I reckon the old school should do two laps of hersden. :LolLolLolLol:
What so I can beat you twice! :LolLolLolLol:
-
:2funny:
This is what happens when you accidently beat me, the idea that your any good goes to your head. :LolLolLolLol:
-
I'll be there whenever i can zippster :daumenhoch: looking at winning the old skool title and the cruiser title :4_17_5: should be easy as there isn't any decent riders out in the sticks :D
-
see the trash talk has started.this is great!!!gets me all exited about the series and gives tony something to throw at you all when you put each other over the berms >:D
as for cruiser riders,if darren boughton races both classes this year he will be hard to beat.mark barden from bexhill gets quicker every race and dont forget dave "extreme pervert"glendower is racing cruiser this year.he's been sandbagging on a new skool bike in oldskool for a couple seasons now so should be good to see him in on a level playing field.watch out for the elbows though.if all the riders turn up with their cruisers it will be a good class to watch as all are pretty good riders.
.
-
At Hersden rounds only I'll be riding in Cruiser and Old School.
At Regionals it'll be 30+ and Old School :crazy2:
-
Just clocked the Hersden poster in the front window of Zippy's shop. Nice one.
Great to see plenty of Cruiser interest so far, hope it stays as a proper class this year.
