No gates at Preston today so I thought I'd stick some pics up. In no particular order: My survivor condition Pro Class 'goose that I used to race in NBMXA, NW regionals and of course Darwen Leisure Centre!. The frame was always chrome from the factory after the black chrome fell off after 2 weeks and we sent it back. There's a few NOS bits on such as the GT bars and Kashimax seat- I gave it a bit of a refurb a couple of years ago. I used to ride it with 6" CW's and Maxi Cross cranks as I was only about 11 at the time. It's quite an early model, I think I got it in '82. The plates were not mine but a bit of a steal on ebay a while back (in your face Hunterdubber!), I'd be quite interested to know their history if anyone knows. If someone could add them to the Haro plate sticky above that would be just tickety boo. The dad'n'lad NS rides are an Intense cruiser with plenty of Profile on it and a mini Kuwi with enough Ti and carbon on it to float a ship. After that I drilled everything in site (holes are free!) to keep the weight down.(new custom-build on the way, details to follow...),and the other bike is a 16" Hoffman pit bike that me and Finn take turns to fall off riding round the garden. The grand finale is my OS badge of honour - a Kelloggs series badge circa '83, although somebody will put me right if it's not. It can't be later than '84 because I buggered off Kart racing then. ..'Open Day' on saturday my arse, apparently Alan's more open for some than others. Not bad Bof. He raced up with the 8/9/10's and managed a 2nd/3rd (a dead heat with Jamie Norris, whos pretty quick) and a couple of 4ths, but he was right with them. The wind was an absolute killer though- the little 'uns could hardly make it up the step up out of the bottom section and the older riders weren't doing much jumping. It was pretty quiet really (only 4 races!), but good crack as usual. I probably should have used the Irish spelling 'craiq' there, it will more than likely be edited. I didn't mean bum-crack Mr Moderator, honest. :-\
