Nearly home from Peterborough, what a great choice for the \brits this year!! It was a bit long and a bit boggy in places but once its dry it will be awesome.
Bit gutted only 2 old school turned up, so me and 796 had to race 15+. To make matters worse in the eastern region they run 4 motos, then semis and finals :idiot2:
Im still a bit slow after busting my thumb and managed to fall off on the start of moto 2. I managed a 2nd in my final on my new dialled bike ::)
Will post some pics later on.....
Well done the Phamtoms for staging a good race :daumenhoch: Really looking forward to the Btits now :daumenhoch:
-
Looking forward to the pics - and well done for turning up - proper hard core with a bust thumb - i spent the day in the warm with plenty of nice mugs of tea :LolLolLolLol:
-
Well done tone :daumenhoch: really did want to go today but i'm a bit skint :( my old banger would have used £40 or more in fuel plus i was knackered..........roll on next week at daggers :daumenhoch:
-
That was proper old school weather.
The track rode about as well as it did in 1983 (cr@p).
I loved it though, would have mafe the F1 A if I hadnt forgoten how to balance on the gate in the semi....

There`s no problem with balance with a one pedal start Miles :daumenhoch:

I am looking forward to seeing the pics. How did the diallied ride then Tone?
-
Was a great day today and it didnt rain on us so even better :daumenhoch:
Little Nicholas got a no.1 in his final so he was well chuffed and Chloe pedald her legs off bless her ............to the point that Matthew is going to buy her a new school bike now :4_17_5:
(Sorry to bore you all with that but I am the proud mum :-[ )
Well done to the other BAD Boys who also did very well today :daumenhoch:
-
Well done Chloe and Nik, Nik was awesome today, a real racer now, thought about every line he took and fought hard to get in front :daumenhoch:
Lee, I picked the dialled up of Darren, got one lap of practice in, then raced it. Crashed in the second moto, but tbh I love it already, I followed Darren round in the final for a 2nd place.

Shazza,
You should be WELL proud of lil Nick, when he hit that corner in 5th/6th i really thought he'd had it, as i screamed at him to "fkin pedal Nick" he gave me a well dirty look through his goggles but by god he peddalled after that, sod Olympin coaches, the OSS Queen hollerin at yer sprog works wonders :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
Chloe rocked as well today, bless her tho, mud just aint her thing, she just wanted her jazzy pink disco slippers back on :daumenhoch:
The 2 Tony's did well good in Nu Skool, the Dialled defo proved a success for my baby :daumenhoch:
Josh rocked against some HUGE sprogs and Emmanuel actually won a moto today and bagged himself a Dialled F & F courtesy of mum and Rat dad :daumenhoch:
Bring on the Brits, Peterborough track is wicked, pics coming soon :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Fantastic Emmanuel getting a new bike , he rode better today than i've seen him ride in a long long time :4_17_5:
These kids racing is going to cost us a fortune, Nicholas has decided he should have a new carbon fibre part for his bike seeing as he doesnt get a trophy when he gets no.1 ....AT EVERY RACE :LolLolLolLol: Hmmm am damn sure our 5 yr olds is bubble going to be burst there :LolLolLolLol:
-
good to see the word of OS travelling the country
many many big claps to my man nicholas for his 1st
sharon just tell nicholas his whole bike is carbon or does he already know the difference @ 5 yrs old ;)
-
:LolLolLolLol: I dont think he actually knows what carbon fibre is he just compares how heavy his bike is with other littlens ... He keeps trying to lift the front of his bike up when he goes over the jumps and thinks he cant fly like Danny White etc because his bike is too heavy :LolLolLolLol:

A wicked day :daumenhoch:
-
Cool pics! ;) them lil dirt-squirts look Rad in all their gear! :daumenhoch:
-
Pretty proud of the pics too, not bad for chick pics 8), except the blurred 1's, and the raw images cos Ratty messed with the Camera (when will you learn i is ALWAYS right :-*)
-
cool pics ratty, muddy old fun, nice....
Can someone please explain to me why they tarmac berms now?
-
Cool pics.
The track looks a bit soggy, what was it like going from mud to tarmack and back again?
-
Soggy, smooth, soggy, smooth, i imagine a bit like switching between holes
-
I don't want to get all controversial or threadjack but bicycle MOTOCROSS? I aint ever seen a tarmac berm on an mx track? Surely when someone comes underneath you with the 'pro-elbow', that's gonna hurt when you go down?
-
nah,Ratty mashed on Tarmac today and it's all cool, although it was the start hill :2funny: :2funny: :-*
-
Great pics xx thanks for taking those Ratty and Nicki xxx
We have the ones we bought today nicely displayed already :)
-
Great pics, although the boys should have more orange :LolLolLolLol:
That 3rd straight dont look like it has a flat section in it :idiot2:
-
great pics Nikki.
The track looks as muddy as Braintree was.
So Ratty, are you going to be racing new school now that you have had a taste?
-
:LolLolLolLol: I dont think he actually knows what carbon fibre is he just compares how heavy his bike is with other littlens ... He keeps trying to lift the front of his bike up when he goes over the jumps and thinks he cant fly like Danny White etc because his bike is too heavy :LolLolLolLol:
He was doing a good job of flying down the first straight in his final. I had my bloody heart in my mouth.
It's all good tho he got the win and thats all he wanted.
Chloe' did really well seeing as she had to ride formula 4 @ 7 yrs old ( some of the riders were 12.) She may have finished last but she didnt stop peddaling until she crossed the line..
Im proud of both of them. :4_17_5: :4_17_5:
Matt

Hey Ratty, glad you like the bike. You look pretty close to Darren Flint in that pic above, which is no mean feat, cos he is one of the most improved 30+ riders out there over the last few seasons since I started racing again. Great to see you showing that the top OS guys can hang with the new school guys :daumenhoch:
Would've loved to have raced there myself yesterday (probably Formula 2 cos now way could I hang in Formula 1), but feeling under the weather. Should be back for Dagenham next Sunday though.
-
Cool pics , looks a tad damp :LolLolLolLol:
-
cool pics ratty, muddy old fun, nice....
Can someone please explain to me why they tarmac berms now?
I think it's a maintenance thing, Clive. Once they tarmac the berms, they can be left alone. I suppose it's a small price to pay considering how few tracks there are in the UK and how few people there are who volunteer to maintain them.
I know what you mean though - BMX racing is about Bicycles and Dirt.
-
Great pics Niki
still no sign of those tyres up for sale yet!!! ;)
Stu
-
:LolLolLolLol: bloody kids want em put on their bikes :wtf:
-
:LolLolLolLol: bloody kids want em put on their bikes :wtf:
Bloody south london pikey kids :2funny: Spent half an hour trying to get some old poxy tyres out of the tree, which ment more to them than winning any bloody trophies
796 ended up getting them down in the end with me and nikki cringing an hiding :2funny:
-
Soggy, smooth, soggy, smooth, i imagine a bit like switching between holes
:2funny:
am i the only one who picked up on this
well played nik :coolsmiley:

Those picures are good Niki, I'm just glad you only got ones of me riding, not chucking my ring up at the end of the 2nd and 3rd motos.
One thing I noticed about going from thick mud to tar-mac was how much mud came off of peoples tires as we entered the berms. That semi where I had to come from the back I got a propper face full. Still serves me right for not being out front.
Didn't Stu look lovley in his new Monster Energy race kit too. :-*
