Can any one help? Just bought a pair of these on the bay(ACS BOA brake calipers),can someone tell me what years these were made? Also i am sure i have seen an advert in either Action bike or freestyle bmx, But i have looked everywhere????? cant find it :'(.................. any one help???????

Do you want to know precisely? They were well established when I came back to BMX in 94. I'd have to say very early 90s as a guess. :)
-
Well just dont want to start a new build and fit bits from compleatly wrong years? and i cant afford to spend £140 ON MX1000S,I was sure i had seen these in around 86/87 but i may be totally wrong again, thanks.

I think Bulldogs were around then. I'm really not sure about the Boas. Sorry bud.

Possibly DC Bulldogs or Odyssey System 2000 ones you saw but I think the BOA was a very late 80's early 90's brake

1991 according to this....http://www.23mag.com/com/acs/acs.htm

just check my last mags BMX Action 89. no acs boa ads in any of them. found odyssey 2000 series brakes.
therefore, I would say 90's is correct

If it's an early 80's build go for a DC890 or a Shimano Tourney brake, mid 80's MX901's as these are a great brake and were out late 84 early 85 and not bad prices at the moment :daumenhoch:. DC Bulldogs are good brakes and not too pricey either, they were an 86/87 brake.
You could always see if Se-BMXer has anything as he is very reasonably priced on his MX900's and MX1000's in comparison to the £140 touch you are seeing on eGay :daumenhoch:.

if Bulldogs, 86/87 fit your era, get them, they work...really well.
there's two different fronts one for potts mods set up and one normal. here's a link, now these might well be modern ones that are still being made, to be honest I have no idea, what I do know is I recently fitted a black set on a street beat, with potts mod on the front and mag wheels and they stopped me. and I'm a big fat fokker. :daumenhoch:
here's a link, if they fit your era then go for them, £8.99 each. :crazy2:

ACS 860's are era correct for '88 onwards as an alternative to DC, the BOA's came later.

You know what the great thing about the bulldogs are? You can get them anodised any colour you want as all the steel hardware is removeable unlike the MX series :daumenhoch: Would be nice to get some custom coloured ones done don't you think ;).
