Title: POS frame. Any ideas what it is?
Post by: JT71 on January 08, 2008, 07:10 PM
Picked up an old school frame, needs a clean, but it's mint. No makers marks, just a serial on the rear drop out.
it has a tear drop shaped down tube, slightly oval top tube and it's light. shop owner says they came from Taiwan back in the day.

any ideas what it is? might build it into a race bike if the geometry is ok... not that I'm going to be racing.

:) That`s not a POS,well not when compared to the NOS Freeway that JT71 posted pics of for me a while back. That thing is unbelievably crap.

I'd love to find some pics of one branded so I can get some decals.

I take it they were just cheap low end bikes.

I've pm'd you re the NOS ones, this frame is NOS. lol. I know it doesn;t look it, but once it's had a good going
over with knobshine it'll be fine. the flecks of rust scrape off with a finger nail, i think they are flecks of other metal from the
workshop it's been strored in, they've gotten on the frame then rusted.

I knew when I took the picture I should have moved the washing first.
it's on a chair/bed in the study, covered with a green throw cos the cats sit on it, with clean washing piled up on the back.
no one wants to see my wifes pj's and jeans and my long johns and grey calvins do they?
