Title: S&M Holmes what year?

I need help identifying the year of a Holmes frame, it has 1" headset and 990 mounts, Chrome with red stickers. bloke says its a 98 but without the ser no yet I`m not so sure..... :-\ Thanks

Could be anything up to '96 as I believe they went to 1 1/8" around then.

Best post up a pic if poss though it sounds like a mk3, so probably 93-96.

Like W.A.B. said, if its 1" then its pre 96. Also, if its got 990 on it (assuming they are factory fitted ones and not a home job) then the frame will be a mk3 Holmes, the last of the 1" ones.

Hard to put a date on it cos the mk3s were the longest running of the three 1" Holmes frames. If you give me the frame number I can get an idea if it was an early or a late mk3 frame.

Judging by your description, I'd say it's a mid-19-send-it-to-me.  I might be wrong though.

OK ser number is HXL6306 its gonna hit the bay later as I prefer my older stuff and this has to help fund a TA project, the finish of this is amazing tho.
