Title: What rims are these?
Post by: Moose on September 24, 2007, 02:55 PM
I've asked before, but I think there are more of you mid-schooler's around now.

The hubs are Peregrine (Suzue) sealed tech - the rims are of triple wall construction with a welded joint. Don't look too bad quality although not the best. Any ideas on the rims?

no idea but they look pretty flash .....

technically they look like velocity rims crossed with premium rims ....
back in 93 GT was meant to be developing a dome rim also?

The rims don't have any markings at all apart from what would appear to be a 'wear-line' on the braking surface.

They do look pretty cool - I'm thinking about putting them on something new school  :-\

They do look a little narrow - I've just put them back in the loft so next time I go up I'll measure them  :daumenhoch:

Those look like pinned joint as well, whereas mine are welded joint.

Do you mean Sunn or Sun (as in Sun Ringle) - they're two different companies aren't they?  ???

If you could find a picture that'd be great :daumenhoch:

after looking at those rims, i think they were some weird 36 hole thing that peregrine released, i'm sure i nearly bought a set, but i think they were silver, not chrome. did they come from cyclesport?

Spot on :daumenhoch:

I bought them from a Cyclesport ebay auction a couple of years ago. Peregrine 48's 'sealed tech' hubs (36 hole) and I think they're polished not chrome - so they're more than likely a Peregrine wheelset then, thanks.
