can you chrome alloy araya 7x or not ? also if not what different on the chrome ones
-
I would have said you could because they're no different than the anodised ones. Albiet a tad heavier. I've got a pair I was going to have chromed after I'd had them polished.
-
Me too :D
-
cool as just got some nice silver ones
-
If we're all going to get this done would it be better to send them all off together as it will be cheaper.

You sure can. Get them polished first for a better finish. :daumenhoch:

Sounds like a plan, where we gonna send em :-\ will the custom guy sort em all out :-\
-
Mine still haven't arrived yet so I need to get them, have them trued and stripped and then sent to Paul at CCA for polishing. Once that's done I'd say we see how many pairs need doing and then send them in bulk. we could find out how many pairs need doing and ring round for prices. We could then bring all the rims to MK and then box them up and send them out. What do you guy's think. ?

I believe Hutch used to chrome Arayas... even before Araya did :coolsmiley:

why not just polish them, chroming alloy is ok but it tends to flake off because alloy oxidises and will lift the chrome,i had a set bitd which flaked after a couple of months >:( i polished these for jimmy p they came up like chrome

They look good, but you can't beat a nice chrome 7X rim can you. :daumenhoch:

They do look good polished,But that can dull and damage easy And also you can't beat using the original finish that was there before resto. :daumenhoch:
