As a kid my first decent BMX bike was a DB senior pro. However, I had to buy almost all my own stuff, so I sold it off to upgrade to my next bike. After seeing a few nice DB's being posted up here, it got me thinking about the good times I had on mine. Anyways, I was offered frame, that I could not refuse. Actually a number of really cool people on here helped me get this one together. So thanks to caferacer, matt black and db rad pads, Mark
As I tried to keep it pretty much stock, it was a bit cheaper than most builds, because it didn't require flights, bullseyes, etc That being said, it is one of my favorite bikes.
My photo's are a little ordinary because I was messing around with my camera settings...

Thanks very much...it is nice to share this sickness with other like minded sicko's! ;)
The frame did score a re-dip, new stickers and almost all NOS parts...(actually quite a few parts were out of the UK)

Just need to move the brake lever down the bars a bit and it will be spot on :daumenhoch:
-
that is sweet mate who did the rechrome for ya
as its come out a treat .not like mine did lol
-
Unfortunately I can't move my lever down without cutting my plate, which I'm not real keen on doing, I was thinking about swapping to a tech III...
I actually had the chrome done at my local chromer who is pretty good...but I don't think he will be able to help you...cause I live in Australia :D
It is pretty good but not perfect. It seems to be really hard to get a perfect chrome job nowdays...he did a set an old set of araya aero's for my rider and they are now 200grams per rim heavy than stock...however I'm about 5kg heavy than stock at the moment!! :(

cheaper build...............
that bike just look great!
most riders did not have flights, bullseyes and all those expensive parts on there bike bitd!
i just love bikes that are build like they really were raced bitd.
well done!

that is a very nice looking build
top job :daumenhoch:

Schweet looking snake. Especially like the mix of blue and black, doesn't sound like it would work, but certainly does :daumenhoch:
-
That's a fantastic build!! :smitten:
I've never seen a Sr Pro done in anything other than chrome/blue in that quality, you have done brilliantly with this one!! :4_17_5:

mines not chrome any more due to the chromer killing me frame
even powder coat cant hide the damage :'(

Thanks again for the kind words...
The bike I used to own back in the day was 95% the same as this one, and that was bought as a complete off the showroom floor...I was under the impression that DB offered a complete bike as per this one, unless they were assembling them with a selection of part here in Australia...I think there was a test in a BMXA..
MartyC, I'm on the Gold Coast, near Brissy actually about as far away as possible from where you are going unfortunately...You will have a great time over in Perth, but if you ever get over this side of the country don't be shy, I'd be more than happy to hook up for a couple of quiet Crownies... :daumenhoch:
LazyChubs, I'm feeling your pain re your dodgy chrome job, I was sh*tting myself when I left this with the chromer, as I have seen what can happen...I had given him a few smaller things before to ensure he knew what he was doing...all was good...
-
chrome aeros not seen that before V nice i like a DB
