A friend of my brother's (Peter AKA Sidehackguy) was kind enough to pass this frame to him. He in turn, passed it on to me. It was built before but I wanted it my way..:) When I scored a set of wheels, I knew it was time

nice old school ride love the colour :daumenhoch:
-
Thanks all.
Things are well over here. getting ready for the annual sidehack race at the Roseville Nationals.
I have a few other 80s bikes (I think--I lost count) but this quad is a rider, feels just right and I will take it to the track on saturday.
The color is original. Apparently the owner saw my brother going through the Vintage and OS sites and asked him if he was interested in old BMX bikes. He had this frame just lying around his back yard.
My brother built it but took it apart and gave it to me for my birthday. Total investment on the whole bike: Less than $200

Love that build

can these be used for racing?
-
Not sure if I understand the question. It was a race bike 22 years ago and a bike is a bike I suppose
-
but theres always freestyle bikes haro freestyler, hutch trickstar, gt performer etc. and this one looks like a freestyle bike because there is alot a places to put your feet...
-
Hmm..well. SE did make a freestyle quad but this isn't one of them. The original similar looking quad pre-dated freestyle by quite a few years
-
nice one mate, that is looking real 8)
