 how do you take anodized colour off alloy

anbody don it before.......

safley oven cleaner
quickly caustic soda

use a product called oven pride

get it at tescos

it's caustic though so be careful!!

not as mad as caustic soda. it works well. you'll see

cheers guys got some dimond back pedals they r red
need to be alloy colour .

it does it good

check it aint just paint though with a bit of nitromors first though!!
some pedals are painted

try it. you'll see what it does!!!

it will remove it all look in tech and restoration under removing anodising at the top

Don't go the easy route and use Oven cleaner, you aint a real bmx restorer until you use Caustic Soda.   :LolLolLolLol:

First remove the spindles and guts of the pedals

get a chinese food tray or something with deep sides

get some Oven Pride and fill it enough so that a pedal can be immersed in it

turn occasionally - once it starts to go white that's the time to get it out

once colour removed, polish - good to go

done it myself a fair few times - genius invention

I have done pedals, Stems, Bars, Brake levers, Chain rings done the lot came up great just ensure you make the most of it if you have a few builds
